Explore İzmir’s oldest settlement in the virtual world.
Developed in collaboration with Bornova Municipality, this project brings Yeşilova Höyüğü back to life through digital twin technology and a virtual reality experience. Visitors can explore a three-dimensional reconstruction of a prehistoric village and gain insight into the everyday life of the period.
The project features 15 houses, a stream, and a range of daily activities—including fishing, cooking, pottery making, and leather working—designed as interactive elements within the virtual environment. This allows users to experience not only the physical setting, but also the cultural and social life of the community.
The Yeşilova Höyüğü VR Experience contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage while presenting archaeological knowledge in a way that is accessible, engaging, and immersive for a wide audience.
