For institutions and organisations to make strategic decisions, large volumes of data arriving from different units or centres must be presented in a clear, comparable and up-to-date form. This need spans a wide range of contexts, from public institutions to international aid organisations.<\/p>\n
Our dashboard approach can bring capacity and occupancy data from numerous centres\u2014such as those of a migration or humanitarian organisation\u2014together in a single interactive view. Units can be ranked by capacity, trends compared across periods, and capacities automatically benchmarked against comparable organisations. In the same dashboard, the performance of information campaigns, including sharing and engagement data, can be visualised alongside capacity indicators, making the relationship between communication activity and field outcomes visible at a glance.<\/p>\n
The project is a concrete example of VITA Lab\u2019s approach to data visualisation and accessible analysis: transforming raw data into a visual, interactive and updateable tool that decision-makers can interpret quickly.
